About Us

Sangeet Indian Restaurant which was first opened in 2011 on Davidson Terrace in Joondalup is now back in Wanneroo.

The word Sangeet translates to ‘sung together’ or music from Sanskrit. However, when utilised as a term to describe a celebratory event during an Indian wedding it translates to Music Night or Musical party. A “sangeet” ceremony is a wedding tradition observed in India that involves singing, dancing and music. It is one of the most vibrant and high-on-energy ceremonies of Indian weddings. And with food being an integral part of every Indian wedding celebration, we get to see a lot of interesting delicacies at the sangeet ceremonies as well.

The owner wants to bring the energy and vibrancy of a Sangeet to each person in Perth through the food which is rich, extremely satisfying and packed full of flavour.

Originally from Delhi, India, the owner first moved to Perth from New Zealand in 1998 and has been a restaurateur for more than 25 years in both New Zealand and Australia.  The restaurant is an authentic North Indian Restaurant offering both vegetarians and non-vegetarian dishes. The new restaurant is open for dinner and takeaways from Tuesdays to Sundays.
